Chrysler 300 Audio Review



At the Detroit Motor Show, Chrysler showed its new 300 sedan. It is equipped with a new UConnect multimedia system. Surprise to fans of hi-fi, it has a very high-end system complete signed by Alpine Electronics!

A multichannel system in 7.1!

According to versions of the Chrysler 300, two systems will be Alpine optional or standard. The first system is called Six Alpine Speakers Premium Audio system. It consists of a kit for the respiratory burst forward with woofers and tweeters 6x9 inches. The rear channels are equipped with a pair of coaxial 6x9 inches. All the speakers are powered by a 276-watt amplifier. The second system is called 7.1 Channel Surround System, and offers a comprehensive multichannel system.

This facility uses a high-end 12-channel amplifier with 506 Watts. The front channels using a kit 2-way (6x9-inch woofers and tweeters), as the rear channels. A center channel is located in the dashboard. Finally, there is a subwoofer 20 cm at the rear of the vehicle to get good bass. The entertainment system is no exception and offers the latest technology.

Called UConnect multimedia system features a large 8.4 inch touch screen, placed at the center of the center console. In addition to multimedia capabilities, it can manage many features of the car as the onboard computer or air conditioning. For multimedia, it has of course a possibility to receive GPS information in real time on the trip: weather, traffic, fuel prices, ... U.S. forces, this unit has the Sirius radio system.

 Of course, this unit is also Bluetooth phones and has a voice command. A steering wheel is also present. For multimedia, it has a DVD / CD player, the ability to connect mobile devices like a USB key or iPod. Even better thanks to WiFi or 3G Smartphone, the new entertainment system allows access to the Internet to read his e-mails, surf the Web, listen to Internet radio, ... The driver will thus have many services. Some like surfing the web are of course offset while driving. Between multimedia and hi-fi Alpine, American drivers have enough to really have fun on board the new 300 C.
