If Hertz is the Italian brand known for its high-end audiophiles HP, it also produces speakers in very affordable range Dieci. As we watch, the DCX165 that we test here, these speakers have no low quality product, despite a very low price!
Indulging without breaking the bank!
The Dieci line is obviously not dedicated to music lovers, it aims to enable small budgets to access music and to HP quality, without breaking the bank. Unlike many of HP goods at low prices, the range using a Dieci production worthy of its name and offers products of real quality. Intended for simple edits, often original location, the speakers really deserve Dieci that one is interested in lending. We chose to test the DCX165, part of the bestselling series!
Benefits: careful workmanship!
The DCX165 is a coaxial two channels of 16.5 cm with a 15 mm tweeter. Its standard template will be mounted in many places of origin. Its depth is fairly consistent, however, and this can cause problems in some locations. A smaller head would have been preferable. From a construction standpoint, the DCX165 is fairly standard and uses proven technology. The woofer is built on a steel chassis supporting a good sized magnet. The latter is protected from moisture by a beautiful orange rubber hood. The woofer cone is made of paper treated to resist moisture. This choice offers a good compromise between lightness and rigidity.

The suspension of the membrane is provided by a conventional half-roll butyl. To provide good power handling, the DCX165 uses a copper coil. No filter on the woofer, Hertz placed on natural attenuation. The dome tweeter is a small 15 mm mylar with neodymium motor. It is mounted in the center of the woofer on a stand with lid dissemination. Too bad he is not adjustable to compensate for low HP sites. The tweeter incorporates a filter in the holder. Visually speaking, this DCX165 really well. We would have liked the pods are golden, but at this price, you can not have it all.

For installation, Hertz provides fixation and cutting template. Since it will often be mounted in original locations, the lack of wiring is understandable, but a pair of gate would have been welcome, if you must change a little its original location. Anyway, for HP to less than 70 Euros, the build quality is outstanding!

Whether to use it with a small two-channel amplifier, high efficiency allows the DCX165 to feed smoothly with a high-power radio. Its frequency response is extended from 60 to 21000 Hz with a resonant frequency low enough. However, this is not done to coax down into the lower frequencies: it is therefore preferable to complete a subwoofer channel. We tested this kit on a car stereo 4x50 watt max MOSFET components and a small two-channel amp 2x50 watts RMS. In both cases it proved really stunning for its price. While it plays better with the power amp, but on a good car, listening is very lively and offers a very good dynamic.

The attacks are fast and free. Question tone, timbre DCX165 pretty well. The sounds are realistic and warm. It lacks a little depth and subtlety to the music lovers, but we must remember that HP costs less than 70 Euros. And this plays more live than hi-fi, corresponds very well with the expectations of young consumers. Even if a subwoofer channel is needed, keeping the bass is remarkable: it's fast, well paced and clean. In short, a very nice HP!

Finally, the report presents a DCX165 money outstanding. For a speaker to far below 100 Euros, it offers a nice production and a very nice sound quality. The stamps are alive and warm. The grave is well kept and the woofer does not hesitate to give way. While it will not make subwoofer but the bass it produces is nice bills. For music lovers demanding the DCX165 missed a bit of finesse, but to listen to music every day so enjoyable and without breaking the bank, it is a very good product. To split hairs, we would have liked the terminals and a pair of golden gate, but at 65 Euros, it really is not stolen by the DCX165. A product known for small budgets!
