Gladiator goes upward GLD35

Growing family of Gladiator, the Tec range of products developed for high efficiency: the newcomer GLD35 represents the state-of-the-art for the high range. Efficiency and performance to scream ...

It all started with a pair of stereo amplifiers and Gladiator 5.0K, a success that led to these Tec has created around a real product line, even with all the goal and pushed the technology for high efficiency. An increasingly frequented by EB Acoustic, with many first subwoofer and amplifier, then the partnership with Beyma, perhaps one of the world's leading manufacturers of loudspeakers at high pressure.

In fact a couple of years, the catalog of the Spanish (a great exception in a sea of American and Oriental ...) is distributed in Italy by EB Acoustic. Close collaboration that gave birth to the first triplet GL05, and GLD6 GLD8 (the first compression tweeter, midrange, the second two) and now the new tweeter GLD35.

At a first glance the component reveals all its occupational origin, counting the one where performance and reliability above all else. In fact, the GLD35 is not easy to place a tweeter: its dimensions are abundant and not follow any logical predispositions. Moreover choosing it for their system has some requirements of invisibility ...

And construction of high performance, we are faced with a "block" of aluminum from about 100x50, cos' as the speaker diaphragm is made of aluminum in fact invisible, well hidden by the horn and the waveguide front. A configuration all aimed at achieving the highest efficiency that we report the technical details of 104 dB. With these numbers the GLD35 can play loud with just a few, very few watts but the same sheet we fixed the limit of 100, with 25 watts of continuous power, the data.

Obviously high enough to be cut, as is typical of this type of speaker, the resonance frequency set at 4000 Hz, the upper limit that is a classic on its own to 20000 Hz filter Tec in the data sheet recommends a cut in 5000 Hz at 12 dB / octave at this link you will find not only the frequency response of the speaker, but also precise directions on how to implement the filter in a range of options ranging from 5000 set to reach up to 10000, a steps of 1000 Hz

Note that, just in anticipation of the use to which it is intended to limit the loudspeaker (SPL competitions in the first place), Tec has provided a replacement membrane for fast replacement in the field of competition, including a measurement to another.
