The new generation Swift Sport makes its world debut at the 64th International Motor Show in Frankfurt (IAA) to be held 13 to 25 September 2011. New Swift Sport is a stylish sport compact, developed based on the new Swift was launched less than a year ago. Swift Sport has an aggressive front and a sharp look dominated by the large front grille design, sporty honeycomb and confirmed dall'assetto low. The increased power and fuel economy are developed from a 1.6l engine (M16A), evolved in towards performance, specifically for Swift Sport. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox, which allows enthusiastic driving performance combined with low fuel consumption and comfort when traveling on the highway.
New Swift Sport offers great stability and an effective level of traction in the corners with spring struts and integrated a new multilink rear suspension.
The high levels of safety are ensured by:
- a monocoque body that is spread over two floors to reach a high coefficient of shock absorption
- seven airbags (including side curtain and side knee)
- ESP ® (Electronic Stability Program).
