New Volkswagen CC, the appeal of a coupe and the practicality of four doors



When it debuted four years ago, the Passat CC has created the market niche of the four-door coupe with a price between 30,000 and 40,000 €. The development of this new segment was quick to point that, to date, almost 270,000 people around the world have chosen the Volkswagen line sports sedan. These are customers who love the charm of a coupe and at the same time enjoy a high level of onboard comfort and convenience of four doors. Volkswagen is now presenting an evolution of this particular sedan, called simply DC and updated both in technique and design. With a new-look front and rear, the CC is more projected towards the luxury segment. Even your standard equipment is now more extensive and exclusive: for example, includes the new bi-xenon headlights, turning lights static and a new design for the rear lights with LED technology. They are also the number of fatigue detection device, the RCD 310 radio-CD system, the steel door sill trims and the front seats, headrests adjustable for height safety.

In DC introduced new assistance systems are available on request including the Side Assist Lane Assist Plus with built-in (a device that supports the driver in lane change, indicating the presence of vehicles in the blind spot and intervene when necessary to keep the car in the lane), Dynamic Light Assist (automatic high beam system) making his debut in DC, in addition to the detection system of the camera-based traffic signals. Even the passenger comfort is improved, thanks to air-conditioned seats with massage function built. The innovative Volkswagen CC will have gasoline and diesel engines with direct injection. All TDI series are equipped with automatic start / stop and device for recovering energy during braking, it also mounted on all petrol engines. The TDI engines deliver 140 and 170 hp, while the petrol for the European market reached 160, 210 and 300 hp. In the U.S., Volkswagen will offer the car with 200 PS TSI petrol and 280 hp FSI. All engines are highly efficient, such as the 140 PS TDI with manual gearbox with six speeds in the combined cycle it consumes just 4.7 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 125 g / km.



The new Volkswagen CC will debut the world premiere at the Los Angeles Motor Show (18-27 November 2011). The German market launch is planned for February 2012 and thereafter will be the turn of Europe, America, Russia, China (the specific version for the Chinese market is scheduled for 2013).
