Sony XAV-AX100, a car audio compatible CarPlay system


Sony also now offers its car system compatible with Apple's CarPlay technology. Brings the most useful iPhone functions on the car display. To get directions, make phone calls, send and receive messages, listen to music.

After Alpine, Kenwood, JVC, JBL and Pioneer, Sony also announced its CarPlay compatible car audio system, a receiver / reader compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The XAV-AX100, this device name, offers connectivity with smartphones with an ad hoc interface to use Maps, Apple Music, manage phone calls, send messages, recall Siri and features that allow you to play various file types. The touch display is 6.4 "with 800 × 480 pixels resolution.

You can make and receive hands-free calls without distractions, keeping your eyes on the road. EXTRA BASS technology allows you to leverage the bass boosts; the output power is 4 x 55 W; the manufacturer speaks of audio reproduced perfectly at any volume level. There is a graphic equalizer that divides the spectrum of frequencies into ten bands, complementary to the features offered by EXTRA BASS. Three pre-out outputs allow you to bypass the final section and connect external endpoints and various speakers. Dynamic Stage Organize (DSO) technology allows you to create virtual speakers on the dashboard. Bluetooth and a USB port are present; the AUX input (stereo mini-jack) is missing.

In the US, the price of the XAV-AX100 is $ 499 and will be available from November.
