The evolution of infotainment systems is bringing technology to the laudable intent of distracting the driver as little as possible. In this way, the attention moves from the eyes to the ears, also to receive traffic information.
TomTom announced TomTom Audio Traffic , a personalized voice-based newsletter, available as an API for developers. The solution can be integrated into several applications and, at the base of everything, there is the usual TomTom Live Traffic platform, with its database and updates in real time.
Audio Traffic does not allow traffic information to be confined to satellite navigators and related applications only. Thanks to the APIs available, it can be integrated into streaming music services, internet radio, voice assistants and so on, offering information even while enjoying multimedia content in cars.
