The Hilo is a small box that converts the outputs high-level output for connecting a low power amp with two channels. In other words, it converts a car stereo speaker outputs to RCA origin. The Hilo can also be powered by 12 volts to provide a remote control allowing automatic switching of a power amplifier. Thus, with this little device, it is very easy to make a nice hi-fi with good power amp and speakers from a car stereo without RCA. If you want to just add a woofer, the Hilo can be connected in parallel with the HP unit, while leaving the original HP connected to the receiver. The subwoofer will then work with all speakers.
