Fiat 500 Taifun Alpine

Alpine show car stand at PTS 2009, this Fiat 500 Taifun contains a multimedia installation art, with a hi-fi listening through the famous Imprint processor. Produced in Germany by experts from Alpine Europe, the Fiat has a remarkable achievement!

A multimedia installation with an audiophile listening!

The Fiat 500 is very trendy, so it's on her Alpine Europe (based in Germany) has set his heart to make this show car. Already present in Sinsheim in 2008 Car + Sound show, the Fiat 500 Taifun has for the first time in France for the PTS 2009. No need for crazy or processing elements to achieve an aberrant beautiful show car, the 500 Taifun certainly has required many hours of work, but it remains in the area is reasonable. Outwardly, the "yoghurt pot" dons a full body kit Design MS giving something to the car racing. Eibach sport suspension, matt black rims OZ with Toyo tires complete the picture outside. Inside everything has been redesigned with a new dashboard, Recaro bucket seats for front passengers, rear seat house, a fiber and alcantara finish and of course a multimedia installation of hell.

Redone in fiber and painted leather, the dashboard is beautiful

As usual, the technicians from Alpine Europe have redone much of the fiber interior painted. The quality (shape, finish, ...) is amazing. He who does not know the Fiat 500, could believe that the dashboard is original. And yet, it has been completely redesigned. The upper part hosts the woofers speakers before, and is covered with black leather. The tweeters Kit SPX-17Pro are molded in the amounts of the windshield, which adopt alcantara finish (like the headliner). In fact, the alternation of absorbing surface and reflective surface, provides good acoustics in the car. Passive filters kit 2 front were housed in the door panels in place of original HP. The door panels have of course been redone for the occasion. The armrest with bright Alpine logo gives a hint that high-tech cockpit.

The front channels use a two-lane kit upscale SPX

The front of the dashboard has been completely remoulded fiber, and is the most impressive show car. The original controls (air conditioning, warning, ...) have been relocated around the counter. They light up in red while the central meter turns blue. The photos speak for themselves, it's beautiful. Under the counter block, is the Multimedia Station Alpine IVA-W505R, the upscale brand. The particularity of this combined double din already tested in our columns, is to have behind the facade motorized dock to accommodate the mobile browser Alpine Black Bird. The IVA-W505R is mounted with all its options. We can enjoy the beautiful high-definition screen with the internal DVD player and digital tuner. Reversing camera front and rear, Bluetooth module for telephony, multimedia system is truly comprehensive. This handset also controls the famous Alpine Imprint processor. Installed in the trunk to put forward, this processor provides a hi-fi listening without having to make adjustments unnecessary.

In the double din multimedia, IVA-W505R is a must

For the rear channels, Alpine has also chosen a 2-way kit SPX, but version 13 cm. This kit is mounted in the rear flanks on media fiber painted. More back seat, it is replaced by two magnificent custom seats. Made fiber and leather, they are not very comfortable, but it's gorgeous and it reinforces the high-tech side of the Alpine show car. The central tunnel is also redone in fiber. A small glass plate with green illumination can admire the AIV wiring used for installation. All the power of the installation is provided by a digital amplifier series PDX. This is the PDX-5 1 x300 issuing 4x75 Watts RMS. Really compact, this amp can animate an entire installation with a very good dynamic. A subwoofer 25 cm is boxed in the trunk floor to reproduce bass frequencies.

Between the two rear seats sits proudly processor Imprint

A white fiber decoration illumination with blue (the color of Alpine) has completed the finishing of the trunk. It's simple and very elegant. Like what, you're not forced into doing a ton to get a very nice show car. Alpine is synonymous with hi-fi and elegance, is this policy that was recommended for the show car. The quality of finish is remarkable. Most importantly, the Imprint processor shows its effectiveness fully. With a microphone and a laptop, it takes half an hour to program it automatically. The software (to put it on the PC) measures the acoustics of the cabin and makes corrections automatically. For those who do not want to mess with a processor to adjust it manually, it is an excellent product.

A 5-channel digital amplifier drives the entire system

A button on the handset multimedia enable or disable the processor Imprint. Listening is measured and its full effectiveness. It's the same difference between day and night, or a day with sunshine and a day without sunshine. Sound quality, screen quality double din, it is really fun playing with this multimedia installation. Finally for the demonstrations show, the tailgate has two 7-inch screens in 16:9. Alpine DVD player (DVE-5207) to the projected completion of the film show car. Such an installation is quite expensive because it uses only premium products. But from a configuration point of view, it is relatively simple and realistic: a complete multimedia system, an amplification of the front channels, rear channels and a subwoofer channel. This is an alpine plant perfectly possible on the car "Mr Everyone". Only difference is the assembly and demonstration oriented show car as the Fiat 500 Taifun showcases expertise Alpine shows.
