A preview of the exhibition IFA in Berlin, TomTom unveils new services for its PND Live GO Live. Pioneer in communicating GPS, Tomtom goes further by developing the GPS Social!
The new Live Services now include Expedia, TripAdvisor and Yelp, for obtaining reliable online reviews and find the best route to reach its destination. A feature that will be handy during long trips during school holidays, often sources of monstrous traffic jams. Twitter will also be present in the PND, and that's a first. The motorist will be able to stay connected at home or at work. With Twitter, the driver will warn his contacts from his route and its time of arrival. Programming the "tweet" will of course be stopped before departure for security reasons. Expedia function compares the accommodation on its way. With TripAdvisor and Yelp, the driver can see comments on restaurants, hotels, cinema, ... Once the information read, the driver can program his GPS on a destination. Connected navigation is certainly the future of GPS and TomTom is already positioned as a leader in this sector of GPS portable. These new features will be presented by Community Tomtom at IFA in Berlin.
