The GUI is not the best or most high tech of the moment, but it is a very simple and has a perfect quick readability. And finally, it is the most important thing when driving. Mapping does certainly not the monuments in 3D, but again, it is very readable, especially the GPS is a model of efficiency. Easy to use, many customizable settings, services (weather through the connection of a Smartphone for example), precision guidance, ..., GPS is exemplary. We especially appreciate having a unit that contains our address book and our telephone contacts, all of which are more manageable on a PC. It's much more convenient than having a handset and multimedia PND for travel. In addition, via the SD slot of the NDP, we can add other maps for a trip (eg USA). History to be demanding, it lacks the new features the latest TomTom Go Live (Coyote in real time, ...). In multimedia, the AVN4429 does not disappoint either.
The DVD player offers excellent sound quality
Eclipse has always been renowned for offering some very good players. This reputation is well deserved, whether on CD or DVD, we feasted. The musicianship is there with a lively sound, natural, well stamped ... The screen is certainly smaller than the usual multimedia stations, but its very good image quality can easily follow a film during breaks while traveling. We would have liked an equalizer with more control, but the corrections are sufficient for the general public gets the best out of his installation. Tuner and integrated amp does not worry either. The radio has very good reception, and the amp delivers attacks sufficient to lead a conventional 4-HP. But to take advantage of musicality, it would be a shame not to use the line outputs for amplifiers.Nothing to say no more about Bluetooth, it gave us complete satisfaction, whether in terms of communication or use.
