This is an innovative feature for browser phones. At CES 2010, Garmin had a module to connect to a Garmin PND and his car to benefit from a comprehensive ecoRoute.
Indeed, a module plugs into the OBD2 socket of the car (making diagnostic team all new cars) and on some Garmin PND (1260, 1370, 1390, 1490 and 1690). We then have a real computer on the mobile browser. Through the data collected on the diagnostic, we know his speed, acceleration, braking, ...). In short a lot of data that allows you to modify your driving to save fuel and thus pollution. This system will be marketed in the spring. And yes, even the electronic media began at the hour of ecology!
