Chrysler Grand Voyager 2009 Car Audio Review

Already more than 25 years since the Voyager Chrysler has revolutionized the way to move the family. Far from resting on its laurels, the new Grand Voyager brings more than 30 new or improved features. Among the many improvements, we note particularly the double video system for rear passengers.

All occupants have their entertainment system!

Real vessel for long family trips, the new Chrysler Grand Voyager is a living stock. Everything has been thought to travel in great comfort, and this particularly at electronics. Whether driver or passenger, the multimedia system (optional or standard depending on model) is really full. The characteristic of this type of large MPV is to have two rear seats. Chrysler innovates by integrating a dual video system, that is to say by a rear seat. That's really new and well thought out!

Each seat has its rear overhead monitor with auxiliary input. The screens provide a picture of 8-inch 16:9 format. A DVD player is located at the bottom of the dashboard. The screens are totally independent, each row back can watch the program of his choice: for example a DVD in the second row and the game console to the third row. Infrared headsets can not disturb the driver. The auxiliary inputs are integrated in the rear center console. Of course, IR remote control systems used in video without leaving his seat. These screens can also read the contents of the hard disk of the source of the Grand Voyager. Finally, the screens are very aesthetically integrated in a roof console with little mood lighting: the great class!

The driver is not to be outdone, Chrysler has really made it big. At the top of the center console, it has a double din multimedia handset offering excellent benefits. This handset has a 20 GB hard disk containing the map browser with of course a vast library of POIs. This hard drive can also be used to store music, images or videos. Via the USB port on the radio, it can easily fill. For communications, this double Din also has Bluetooth and voice recognition.

To make more practical use of the MyGIG multimedia system, the radio has a touch screen in addition to the conventional steering wheel. The MyGIG multimedia system includes a rearview camera. Finally, the source also has an auxiliary input in the form of mini-jack to connect the headphone output of any MP3 player. The audio system is no exception, and receives a new system with 10 speakers and amplification with DSP 7.1. The amplifier delivers 506 watts and has a DSP with its management to deliver 7.1 surround sound quality perfect for each vehicle occupant.

The front channels are composed of three speakers in the dash (one center channel) and two HP in each door. The rear channels have 2 HP back plus 2 tweeters in the rear pillars of a minivan. Finally, a subwoofer with 20 cm subwoofer handles the bass frequencies. In short, apart from the lack of Internet connection (still very rare in cars at the moment), the new Grand Voyager has a full installation and innovative. Even if it is not part of multimedia embedded, we note also another interesting innovation on this great MPV. Finish of struggling to remove the third row of seats. If you need the safe, she retracts electrically in the floor of the Grand Voyager. With this new model, not a vehicle has also earned its name: Voyager!
