VW Beetle Car Audio Review

DS3, Mini, the battle of city chic and neo-retro is tough. The VW New Beetle was getting old, although his line is attractive. In fact, especially in terms of benefits, the New Beetle starts to date. A preview of the Frankfurt Motor Show, VW unveiled in Berlin Beetle version 20111! And of course, she is entitled to a facility much higher!

A big name guitar signed the hi-fi!

Indeed, the New Beetle was content with a conventional laser and radio offered no multimedia service. VW had played primarily on the design. For 2011, VW is reviewing its copy and has a modern Beetle, sleeker, more attractive and above all better finished and better equipped. Following the trend of the DS3 or the Mini, the passenger wants to be more welcoming and treating his presentation with many finishing details. Cox is now called the new Beetle at all. But let's get to what interests us most: multimedia and hi-fi. The base model will receive an RDS car stereo laser with steering wheel controls, remote display counter in the block system and 8 speakers. Optional or standard depending on version, VW offers a hi-fi system much more upscale.

A hi-fi system has a Fender amp of 400 watts and a subwoofer channel

While many automakers rely on big names in hi-fi, VW chose to use a famous brand of guitar: Fender. A name already entered rock legend with Eric Clapton or Jimi Hendrix. In cooperation with Panasonic, the famous American brand has developed a system specially designed for the Beetle. The heart of the system is an amplifier A / B to 10 channels of 400 Watts. The latter feeds a two-way front kit, a kit 2 way back and a subwoofer with dual voice coil subwoofer. The subwoofer is housed in the trunk, in the right flank. Fender is synonymous with rock and roll, Fender audio system comes with mood lighting for the interior. The latter is adjustable in three colors: white, red or blue.

Several multimedia handsets are available

This lighting system includes a light ring around the woofer. With modern design and refined interior is the most beautiful effect! For multimedia, VW does not want to stay late as with the New Beetle and offers several system. The RCD510 CD includes a charger, an SD card interface and touch screen. VW also offers the RNS 315 with CD player, SD slot, touch screen 5 inch dual-tuner RDS for perfect radio reception. But the most interesting model is of course the RNS510, much more feature rich.

Bluetooth, DVD, GPS, RNS510 is the combined premium of the Beetle
Indeed, it has a 6.5 inch touch screen, much more comfortable. It includes of course a GPS, Bluetooth, SD slot and even a 30 GB hard disk CD player is replaced by a DVD player. If the Beetle has the option ParkPilot, the display of the radio shows the design of the car and shows the obstacles through sensors in the bumper. In parallel, an acoustic signal increases when one approaches too much of an obstacle. In terms of multimedia, nothing really new because we already know this handset on other models in the VW. However, hi-fi issue, the Beetle is the first car in Europe to own a Fender. We look forward to listening!
