The concept Jaguar C-X16 is a strong affirmation of the intent of Jaguar design and technology for the future. The C-X16 adopts the traditional engine front, rear-wheel drive that Jaguar has established over the decades and transforms it for the 21st century in a performance hybrid engine with 50:50 weight distribution.
Latest version of Jaguar's philosophy of "Redefining Performance" The system is based on a prototype of the 3.0-liter V6 supercharged all-alloy that delivers 380 hp (280 kW) and 450 Nm of torque thanks to its innovative architecture. For integration is an electric motor that produces 95 hp (70 kW) and 235 Nm of torque, available with the touch of a button on the steering. Combined with a change to eight reports and mounted on a lightweight aluminum frame, this allows the C-X16 to accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.4 seconds and reach 300 km / h with a consumption of kilometers to 17:43 liter of fuel and emitting 165 g / km of CO2. The car body was wrapped in aluminum as close as possible to these mechanical devices to distill the essence of Jaguar sports cars, in the future evolution of a design language already well established. Stretching back to the main lines from the focal point formed by the grid and driving the wheels as close as possible to the corners, the car has a tense posture, and "ready for action" that makes it unmistakably Jaguar.
The interior shows important technologies for the future, such as rotary controls which incorporate multi-modal miniature OLED screens, which are reconfigured to reflect the different functions that can be performed via the various controllers that are designed for maximum compatibility between the need for a sports car and the usability of every day.
An example of this is the full integration with a smartphone through the "Connect and View" with which the central touch screen is reconfigured to simulate the display of the connected device. The central screen interface also has "touch" second-generation integrated by commands that allow short distances to access the main menu.
The interior is lined with leather and micro suede fabric. On the whole the car has been used premium materials, with the main contact surfaces consist of a combination of anodized aluminum, high-quality black finish, dark chrome and carbon fiber that emphasize the car's performance potential. The manually adjustable bucket seats are made of lightweight composite materials with a central carbon fiber backs for added rigidity and better support.
