New Lancia Delta, the flagship compact

Presented at the International Motor Show in Geneva in March 2008, the Lancia Delta is the model held that the brand has introduced a new concept in the C segment transferring the attributes of a flagship. In fact, in 4 feet of interior space and includes deluxe category: the seats become chaise-longue, coatings, and precious textures give way to the magic of comfort and silence envelops passengers on each trip. Delta is the flagship compact that meets the mobility needs of today's prestige thanks to the logic of "downsizing", ie ensuring performance and luxury of higher cost, size and lower power consumption. In this context, fit the latest range of: a calendar unpublished, consistent with the new Lancia family feeling, and a new proposal and engines including the 105 bhp 1.6 Multijet engine and the brand new Euro 5 1.4 Turbo Jet 120 HP Euro 5 LPG. The new Delta is marketed in major European markets (UK and Ireland with the Chrysler brand).

After the great response from the public version of the Euro 4, returns to being part of the range Ecochic Lancia Delta with the new 1.4 Turbo 120 bhp LPG with Euro 5.

The new version of dual fuel (LPG and petrol) full range Ecochic, now consists of the Ypsilon and Musa, according to the "clean environment is a luxury we want to afford." In fact, compared to gasoline and diesel, LPG reduces particulate emissions to 0, and severely limits the emissions of other pollutants (up to 15% less carbon dioxide, up to 20% less carbon monoxide and up to 60% less unburned hydrocarbons). Thanks to these features, the GPL ensures long engine life and improves the quality of the environment. Last but not least, the LPG almost does not penalize the interior space or performance of the car. Equipped with bi-fuel engine 120 bhp 1.4 Turbo Jet Euro 5, the new Delta LPG is available in three trim levels (Steel, Silver and Gold) for all European markets. As for the models Ypsilon and Musa who adopt a bi-fuel engine Euro 5 1.4 8V 77 hp, the Lancia Delta is a bi-fuel engine (1.4 Turbo Jet 120 HP) made Fiat Powertrain, and has been designed for maximum integration and reliability with the LPG system. In fact, it is factory installed (each car is certified, approved and guaranteed by Lancia Automobiles and therefore may benefit from any government bonuses in each European market).

In detail, the engine for the Lancia Delta adopts a Turbo LPG cylinder head with valves and seats made with materials and geometries optimized to run on LPG. With a special suction system, to accommodate the LPG injectors, as well as the related additional wiring already built in, especially bi-fuel 1.4-liter Turbo Jet develops a maximum power of 120 hp (88 kW) at 5,000 rpm / min and a maximum torque of 206 Nm (21 kgm) at rpm / 1,750 min. With this engine, the Lancia Delta Turbo LPG has a top speed of 195 km / h and acceleration from 0-100 km / h in 9.8 seconds. The new version of Delta is designed to operate independently of either petrol or LPG: l 'starting the gasoline engine is always, with automatic switching to LPG after about 40 seconds. Of course, switching from one fuel to another can be done by running a specific button built into the dashboard. If the driver is no longer found in the LPG tank, the gasoline would be switched automatically ensuring a smooth drive. The total range is remarkable: 1,413 km should be emphasized, finally, that LPG is a fuel considerably less expensive than gasoline, diesel and natural gas (the price per liter is about 50% less than petrol green): in fact, with just 37 Euros (average price of Italy) you can get your fill to its Delta Turbo LPG. In addition, the distribution network is widespread throughout Europe with over 10,000 points of sale.

The LPG cylinder - a toroidal (donut) - has a capacity of 52 liters and is located in the spare wheel compartment not steal luggage space (the kit is standard inflation). Last but not least, compared to a "transformation" in "after-market", an original car has many advantages. For example, the use of specific materials and components and the application of a dedicated technology, allows customers to benefit from a contractual guarantee Spear. In addition, because the changes are made directly to the chassis at the factory, the car boasts the highest standards of comfort and safety as evidenced by the numerous and stringent tests are carried out in various parts of the system.
