New Toyota Prius Plug-in, the most advanced and environmentally friendly cars

The plug-in Prius, Toyota's first car with a full hybrid-electric plug-in technology (PHEV), for the mass production, will make its debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show. The Prius Plug-in is the latest development of the technology platform Hybrid Synergy Drive ® (HSD), namely the full hybrid technology more secure and reliable on the market today, with more than 200 billion miles traveled around the world. The Prius Plug-in is equipped with a new lithium ion battery and its autonomy in electric mode only (EV) allows exceptional fuel efficiency of just 2.2 l/100 km, CO2 emissions down up to 49 g / km .*

The Prius Plug-in defines a new benchmark in terms of sustainable mobility, giving all customers who move into urban areas, the best of both worlds, and conventional electric power by extending autonomy (EV). The heat engine of this vehicle ensures highly efficient transmission reliability over long distances, returning low power consumption. Besides this, the convenience of full hybrid technology will make it extraordinary access to an increasing number of customers.

While Toyota's full hybrid range continues in the expansion in other segments, with the introduction of models such as Yaris Auris HSD and HSD future, the Prius will continue to be a showcase for new technologies and the development of full hybrid transmission, with the Prius plug-in that will represent the ultimate expression of this evolution.
