Jaguar XE restyling: New Design and Artificial Intelligence for the British sedan

Four years after the debut, Jaguar XE is renewed with the restyling of mid-career. The British sedan brings a refined design, new finishes, security and artificial intelligence, to challenge the D segment premium sedans along with the other "outsider" Alfa Romeo Giulia.

Thanks to a new bumper and thinner optics , the front of the new Jaguar XE appears wider and lower than the previous model. The full-LED headlights offer the now classic J-shaped signature and integrate with the design of the front fascia, available in two versions (more sporty or elegant, depending on the layout). Even the taillights evolve, receiving a new internal perspective.

The updates also affect the interior, characterized by an extensive use of soft-touch materials, new door trims and more attention to storage compartments. Shared with the sporty F-Type is the new SportShift gear selector, while at the interface level we highlight the debut of the digital instrumentation with 12.3 "TFT screen and the Jaguar Touch Pro Duo system , composed of two touch displays for the management of the infotainment and of the various "physical" functions of the vehicle (ventilation, seats and other settings) .The infotainment now integrates the Smart Settings technology , which uses the Artificial Intelligence to customize the driving settings.

Present, for the first time on the model after the debut on the new Range Rover Evoque , the rearview mirror ClearSight, equipped with a display capable of transmitting images from a rear camera grandandolare.

The 8-speed automatic transmission is standard on all the new Jaguar XE models , combined with rear or full-wheel drive depending on the engines. The four-wheel drive offers the Intelligent Driveline Dynamics technology , which ensures a preponderance of traction at the rear in normal conditions.

The  Jaguar XE 2019 range is available with the Ingenium family's 2-liter 4-cylinder diesel and petrol engines : the P250 and P300 indicate 250 and 300hp petrol , while the D180 indicates 180-hp diesel . The range is divided into the S, SE and HSE levels (each available also in the R-Dynamic version ), with a base that already offers automatic transmission, 18-inch wheels, leather seats with electric adjustment, full-LED headlamps , parking sensors, rear view camera and lane assistance. Jaguar XE price of the access variant is 33,915 pounds in the United Kingdom (about € 39,500).
