Pre-sale of the Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR starts in Germany . Presented last year in the form of Concept on the occasion of the meeting on Lake Worthersee, in Austria, the version derived from the homonymous racing model will be proposed starting from 38,950 euros . The Golf GTI TCR is powered by the classic 2.0 TSI with a particle filter, which is now brought to 290 hp and 370 Nm of torque , and combined with a seven-speed automatic transmission, for a shot from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.6 seconds and a top speed of 250 km / h.
With the standard equipment derived from the GTI Performance, Golf GTI TCR uses the Front Assist, Active Info Display and LED light clusters , in addition to the 18-inch Belvedere alloy wheels, black mirror caps and TCR aerodynamic package including splitter, miniskirts, spoilers and diffuser. Also foreseen the adoption of a self-locking front differential, perforated brake discs, selector for driving modes, sports seats covered in microfibre and safety belts with red trim.
The Golf GTI TCR can be further customized through two packages : the first (2,350 euros) includes the 19-inch Reifnitz rims with 235/35 tires, black roof and carbon trim for the mirror caps, while the second (3,200 euros) provides 19-inch Pretoria alloy wheels and 235/35 racing tires. Both the Adaptive Chassis Control (DCC) is available for electronic regulation of the attitude and the possibility of bringing the maximum speed to 260 km / h by removing the Vmax electronic limiter.
