Car Audio Amplifier Class

In general, there are several types of amplifiersare popular in the market. Amplifier class A is the amplifier that is able to produce the best sound quality, clean and natural, but the worst efficiency is about 20-30% only and it works extremely high temperatures. For example if the amplifier consumes 100 watts from the battery but it only produces 30 watts of output, the amplifier is considered only 30% efficiency, and that is class A.
Amplifier efficiency class B has twice as better than the amplifier class A, so about 50-60%.Apparently amplifier of this type is quite good, but apparently not, because although quite efficient, but less good sound output, contains a lot of distortion. That's why amplifier class B is very rare or even not used for car audio amplifier. Amplifier class AB is what dominates most of the amplifiers on the market.
The technology is ideal for use. High levels of efficiency, about 60%, and the output sound quality is good although not as good as class A. But the comparison between the efficiency, quality and performance, amplifier class AB is the best.
Amplifier is a class D amplifier is very efficient and not easy to heat, even the efficiency can reach 90%. But because the technology used is more complicated, so the price is also more expensive. Working range of this amplifier is only at a certain frequency range is rather narrow, because that is usually used for low frequency sounds to the subwoofer. D does not mean digital! But it's been a lot of producers are able to develop a class D amplifier to be able to work in a fullrange of 20-20000 Hz, but no one has dared to use it in the contest SQ. Maybe you want to try?
