At the Paris Motor Show, BMW presented an original system to use his iPhone in the car perfectly. This system was developed for the BMW without iDrive system.
This system is available for the BMW 1 Series, 3 Series, Z4, X1 and X3. At the center of the dashboard, both in the field of vision of drivers, dock iPhone replaces the iDrive screen video systems. The system includes of course a microphone for hands-free telephone and power supply to recharge the battery of the phone Apple. None is visible, and the iPhone is ideally placed for the driver to master all the features. This system will be offered in 2011 with a specific application to install on the iPhone. The application allows direct access to basic functions: browsing, telephony, music and services BMW Connected Drive. BMW Connected Drive Services provide troubleshooting, research by sector or even Google News. In short, a very trendy since it speaks only Smartphone and "stay connected". BMW has also now a solid lead in communicating car.
