IMU has an onboard camera


Well known for its mobile browsers, MIO innovates with an onboard camera to record your driving: Drive Recorder!

The Drive Recoder is a small high-resolution camera, which is placed on the front windshield with a suction cup. It saves the unforeseen events occurring on the road as an accident for example. Equipped with a GPS and a gyroscope, it can also analyze the driving habits of the user having to drive more secure. It records all accelerations and sudden braking. The results are presented to the driver as blue LEDs, red and green, thus informing the quality of his conduct. The software embedded in the camera is connected to Google Maps and records and all your trips, on a memory card of 4GB Just connect the camera to a PC for viewing videos. The Drive Recorder was launched in Taiwan at a price of 200 Euros. Its marketing for Europe is still under investigation.

The first GPS car kit for iPhone 4

 
At the IFA in Berlin, MIO, brand specializing in portable navigation, introduced the first GPS car kit dedicated to the iPhone 4. Many browsers are available for the iPhone, you can use your iPhone as a PND 4.
 
This kit consists of a GPS suction mount to mount on the windshield of an integrated GPS receiver and a speaker. This kit is also compatible with iPhone 3G, iPhone 3G and the iTouch 2G.The medium helps put the iPhone horizontally or vertically. We can use the navigation with a good deal of voice prompts. The speaker also enables Bluetooth hands-free calling safe. Note also that the dock was designed to accommodate the Apple music players with their silicone case or hardshell protection. Finally, this GPS kit is compatible with most navigation software for iPhone. The kit will be marketed for 99 Euros.
