New Mercedes-Benz B-Class, road test

In the new range of diesel engine OM 607 series base delivers 80 kW (109 hp) and 260 Nm of torque to the crankshaft and, with manual transmission consumes 3.8 l/100 km, compared to emissions of 98 g CO2 / km. It is therefore an improvement of 22% over the previous model A 160 CDI, whose power was only 60 kW (82 hp) and consumes 4.9 liters. The new A 220 CDI diesel, top of the range, rather than the even exceeds its predecessor by 25%, delivering 125 kW (170 hp), 350 Nm of torque and, in combination with the dual-clutch automatic transmission 7G- DCT, boasts fuel consumption of just 4.3 l/100 km (provisional figure).
