A multimedia handset specifically for Mazda 2

By Caska DSS is a range of car audio multimedia "plug and play" in Speedsound. These radios are mounted in place of the original ones without modifying the car. The range is very interesting because it includes rare models including the center console like the Nav-M2 for Mazda Series 2!

On some cars, the unit is molded in the center console, making it very problematic installing a double DIN aftermarket car stereo. To meet the demand of embedded multimedia enthusiasts who want a car with superior functionality to the original sources, the range by Caska DSS offers car audio "plug and play" instead of the original sources. Where the range is very interesting is that it offers models with front center console molded on the car radio. Thus, in the case of the Nav-M2 Series 2 Mazda since 2008, replaces the radio panel and center console, while respecting the original design and making no change. This unit offers full multimedia functions: GPS with European maps, DivX compatible DVD player, 7 inch touch screen, USB, iPod control, Bluetooth phone, rear view camera input, 4 channel ... Amplification, equalizer, FM tuner and resumption of the original steering wheel controls are of course of the game. Optionally, you can even add a digital tuner controllable via the touchscreen Nav-M2. Also note the presence of a 5.1 output for those who want to carry a large installation. In short a very interesting product for owners of Mazda 2. Note that the range offers models for many vehicles very common in Europe! The Nav-M2 is sold 1190 Euros.

Mazda CX-7 Audio Entertainment Review

The prototype of SUV Mazda CX-7 was introduced last year with a dashboard for less futuristic. Unfortunately, the version ready for market in a few weeks back to a more classic.

A amazing dashboard!

The dashboard of the CX-7 presented at last year's auto show in Detroit in the USA was really interesting in more ways than one. It included two screens to unusual formats. The first took place under the cap of the dashboard, and this in an elongated format that can not hardly ever meet, except on the latest Mercedes S Class This screen was complemented by a second round!Located in the center console, he was surrounded by many function keys.

According to information posted on these two screens, one imagines that the top is crucial and the information that is needed to control a glance like navigation, and here the temperature of the air conditioning. The bottom one being touch, he served as a control console for all services of the daily car audio, navigation, air conditioning, data communication, etc.. I find that cons by the number of keys around the screen is too large, especially since they are all identical and only the entries (more than many) make them different. The touch screen could encompass much of these functions.

The display on both screens was done in shades of blue and 3D are the obvious trends of the 21st century vision of our future. Like the 70's saw the future while rounded-white flawless.

Too bad!

Why I started this article before? Simply parcque the Mazda CX-7 will soon go into production but that these two innovative and futuristic screens have been abandoned. Commercially speaking, it is likely that the cost of such equipment is a deterrent for a car manufacturer. This does not prevent these avenues are explored later on later models. Patience, patience!

In the meantime, you can compare the two pictures below the original prototype and the dashboard of the CX-7 will take the road. Indeed, we remain in the traditional touch although the function has been preserved for the console screen. The screen in the cap of the dashboard is a display it all there is more classic.

Missed opportunity? No, remain serious, such a panel can be manufactured in large numbers earlier today. These few examples give us the opportunity to get close to what will be our future dashboards. For that alone, thank you Mazda giving us the benefit of such creativity.

Tomtom browser in the new Mazda 5

For his new minivan series 5, Mazda has chosen to equip Tomtom a browser. But unlike some manufacturers who opt for a mobile browser, Mazda chose a fixed browser tightly integrated with the dashboard.

This multimedia handset comes in the form of a combined double DIN with a design suited to the dashboard of the Mazda. This unit integrates a GPS Tomtom has been developed in partnership with Sanyo. From a radio standpoint, it offers an FM RDS tuner, CD player with MP3, USB, iPod control, Bluetooth phone to the steering wheel and touch screen of 5.8 inches. European GPS mapping is stored on an SD card. Another interesting point is that TomTom has a voice command to enter his destination. Of course, this browser includes all the services Tomtom Live: HD Traffic, Google local search, weather, IQ Routes and traffic alerts These services provide real-time valuable assistance to the driver, especially in overcrowded urban areas. As usual with Tomtom, the browser has been optimized to be very simple to use and efficient (Text-To-Speech, assistant traffic lanes, etc). This multimedia solution is offered as standard or optional depending on the version of the Mazda 5.
